16th Annual Poetry Weekend-FR

The University of New Brunswick in Fredericton invites you to its 16th annual Poetry Weekend, a celebration of Canadian poetry featuring new and seasoned poets alike.

Join us on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6 at UNB Fredericton’s Memorial Hall for a series of readings by poets from across Canada. Featured guests for this year’s festivities include Claire Kelly, Annick Macaskill, Shoshanna Wingate, Jim Johnstone, Andy Verboom, Kayla Geitzler, M. Travis Lane, Brian Bartlett, and many more! Readings take place at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 8 p.m. both days.

Poetry Weekend is presented by The University of New Brunswick Department of English, The Shaw Fund, the UNB Bookstore, The Fiddlehead, Icehouse Poetry, and Goose Lane Editions.

Admission to Poetry Weekend is free, and all are welcome to attend (please note that Memorial Hall is accessible by staircase and by ramp). We look forward to having you join us at one of our most anticipated events of the year!
